Lantra’s Quality Assurance
Standards
Lantra CourseFinder will be implementing an
optional quality assurance scheme for training providers who list
their training through the website.
When this takes
effect, the following will apply:
Lantra
CourseFinder will search for both training providers who are and are
not quality assured. Lantra CourseFinder clearly denotes whether a
course is delivered by a Quality Assured Training Provider. Lantra
quality assures the training provider not the course.
Under
Lantra’s quality assurance scheme a training provider can be quality
assured by demonstrating at least one of the four criteria
below:

The
training provider is subject to the Common Inspection Framework
and has achieved a minimum grade 3.

The
training provider has been approved by the Quality Assurance
Agency for Higher Education Institutional audit.

The
Training Provider has met Lantra’s own Quality Assurance standards
(a to d) and has demonstrated they are an approved NVQ/SVQ centre
by at least one Awarding Body

Has
Public Insurance in the sum of £0.5 million & Professional
Indemnity in the sum of £0.25 million
-
A
working Equal Opportunity Policy & compliance with the
Disability Discrimination Act 1995
-
Compliance
with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
-
Undertaken

The
Training Provider has met Lantra’s own Quality Assurance standards
(see a to d above) and has provided Lantra with two client
referees who have confirmed that the training provider has met the
following:

Occupational
competence and the expertise of the personnel delivering the
courses.

The
adequacy of the facilities & equipment
-
The
deployment of recognised training techniques and processes to
identify:
-
Aims
and objectives of the course or training
-
Initial
assessment to establish learner’s starting point
-
Formative
assessment
-
End
of programme evaluation
